Former Eagle Soars in Cyprus

Mississauga born; Ryan Telfer played his youth soccer with the Erin Mills Eagles. A speedy and crafty midfielder, he eventually worked his way to sign with our former Canadian Soccer League Team, the Mississauga Eagles FC, in 2012. His goal-scoring ability landed him at York University where he continued to excel and won both an OUA and USports National Championship with the Lions.

If winning a National Championship with the Lions was not enough, Ryan also was the first goal scorer in CPL history. To add to his list of accomplishments from the first season as a member of York9 in the Canadian Premier League, Ryan was also:

· First CPLer to Score against an MLS side

· First CPLer to Score in an International Match

· First home goal scorer in York9 History

Ryan recently signed a short-term contract with Cyprus side, Salamis Famagusta FC (first division).

We wish Ryan nothing but the best as he continues to Soar abroad, playing the beautiful game!
