The Club Match Official Development Program provides ongoing mentorship and encouragement to participants to continue with their certification advancement and higher level participation at the provincial and national levels. The program is determined to keep Match Officials active, growing personally, and gaining essential experience and confidence for the future.
The Club focus on Match Official retention is supported by a very strict policy against referee abuse, either verbal or physical by players, coaches and the parent membership. The Match Official Development Program is overseen by the Club Head Referee.
Each spring the Club hosts two Match Official clinics – one for small sided games and one entry level. New Match Official graduates are placed in the resource pool.
A pool of not more than 100 Match Officials is maintained to ensure that all have, at least, one opportunity a week to officiate.
