Erin Mills Soccer Club made their presence known by dominating the 2019 Ontario Indoor Cup. Seven of Erin Mills' teams made it to the final round, winning two gold medals and two silver medals. The Ontario Indoor Cup was mostly a green and white affair this year.
U13 Girls - Gold Medal
The U13 girls had an amazing run scoring 25 goals in four games on their way to the final. The girls had a tough opponent in Dorchester who had an impressive run to the finals as well. In a very close contest, the deadlock was broken by the Eagles with an amazing play at the end of the first half. A low driven cross from the corner flag reached Jadea Collin who neatly chipped past the keeper to seal the game and secure the gold medal.
U14 Girls - Silver Medal
Similarly the U14 girls had a great run dominating the games leading up to the finals. In the final, the girls played a tough match against the Caledon Cyclones. Caledon got off to a good start netting a goal early in the first half. The Eagles answered back early in the second half with a nice goal from Keewana Francis against the outstretched Caledon goalkeeper. Unfortunately Caledon answered right back and held on to win the game 2-1, resulting in a well earned silver medal.
U18 Boys - Gold & Silver Medal
The U18 boys division had four teams representing Erin Mills in the final round showing the club's dominance in that age group. Of the four teams, three of them made it to the semi finals leading to a green and white final between Erin Mills Black and Erin Mills Blue. The all Erin Mills final was a tight contest throughout but Erin Mills Black edged out the victory with two late goals. The second of which being a rocket of a shot from Kahlil John-Wentworth earning his team a gold medal and the Ontario Indoor Cup.
