Over the weekend of September 22 and 23, the five Erin Mills Eagles teams took to the field in the Crew SC Fall Classic. The Girls U12 and U13 Green teams as well as the Boys U12 Green and Boys U13 Green and White teams participated in this well-known tournament. The Boys U13 White team represented EMSC magnificently by outscoring the Michigan Rush 2-1 and bringing the 2018 Championship trophy north of the border.
The trip for EMSC allowed the players, coaches and parents to play in the tournament, have a
tour of Mapfre Stadium where the Columbus Crew play, and to watch the Columbus Crew face off against the Colorado Rapids. More importantly, the experience allowed the players and EMSC to be exposed to a wider audience to showcase their skills, teamwork and passion for both the game of soccer and EMSC. The trip was also a great opportunity to strengthen team bonding and chemistry on and off the field as well as to meet players from other teams.
We want to thank all of our players, coaches and parents who came out and represented EMSC with class and true sportsmanship. Without your support, passion and dedication we wouldn’t be able to participate in these tournaments and showcase the Club and its players.
