We are thrilled to have Carmelina Moscato join our Tuesday night (November 6th) training session!

The girls were able to hear about her journey through soccer. Carmelina is an accomplished player and coach and it was great to have such a strong female role model for our girls out to our session.

Moscato made her Olympic Games debut for Team Canada in London 2012 and was a member of the bronze medal winning women’s team.

At just 16 years of age, Moscato made her Canadian U-20 national team debut in 2001. She went on to capture a silver medal at the 2002 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Championship, playing all six matches and helping Canada reach the final before losing to the United States.

Moscato was a member of three FIFA Women’s World Cup teams (in 2003 and 2011).

At age 23, she accepted an assistant coaching job at the University of Louisville, but after two years she realized her playing days were not over and rejoined the national team in 2009.

She won a W-League title in 2004 with the Vancouver Whitecaps and made a return to the club in 2009.

Her university playing days ended with four Big Ten titles and two appearances in the NCAA Final Four with Penn State University. She’s also played professionally for clubs in Italy and Sweden.

And if that's not enough she recently was the co-head coach of our Canadian U15 National Team and U-20 National team and she was also a Canada REX talent manager.

We would like to thank Carmelina for joining our training sessions and being a role model to our players!
